Interpreting comes in three modes. Telephone interpreting connects you to a linguist in minutes, which is what an ER intake in Chicago or a 2 a.m. customer call usually needs. Video remote interpreting works well for USCIS interview prep and telehealth. On-site interpreting is the right call for depositions, court hearings and parent-teacher conferences, where body language carries part of the meaning.
Written work runs through our document translation team: native speakers of the target language, checked by a second qualified linguist. When a document is headed to USCIS, a court or a university, we issue it as a certified translation with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy. Hospitals and health systems also use us to meet Title VI and Section 1557 language access obligations, in any of the 326 languages listed here.

Most agencies can staff the top 30 languages. The real test is the harder request: a Quiche speaker from Guatemala at an immigration court hearing, a Tigrinya-speaking patient in a Seattle clinic, a Chamorro document for a family in Guam. We actively recruit rare-language linguists for exactly these cases, and immigration attorneys and public agencies make up a large share of the work.
We are honest about the limits too. For a handful of very rare language pairs, written translation routes through English as a relay step, and an interpreting assignment may pair two linguists. When that applies we say so before you book — not after. Dialect matters as well: a speaker of Sudanese Arabic is not always well served by a standard Arabic interpreter, so tell us the country and region and we will match to the variety, not just the language.
