View transcription service →Urdu is the national language of Pakistan and one of the official languages of India, with around 230 million speakers between them. It shares much of its spoken grammar with Hindi but is written in Perso-Arabic script (Nastaliq), and its formal vocabulary draws more heavily on Persian and Arabic. For US-based clients we mainly translate Pakistani civil documents — birth certificates, marriage records (nikah nama), national ID cards, and educational diplomas — for USCIS family-reunification and academic-credential applications. Urdu-speaking communities in the US are concentrated in New York, New Jersey, Texas, Illinois, and Northern Virginia.
