Lithuanian is one of the oldest living Indo-European languages — linguists often note that it retains grammatical features lost in every other living member of the family, including Latin. About 3 million people speak it, mostly in Lithuania. The Lithuanian-American community is well-established, with the largest concentrations in Chicago, New York, Boston, and Cleveland, and significant post-WWII displaced-persons roots. Our Lithuanian translation work is mostly genealogy and dual-citizenship documents (Lithuania allows descent-based citizenship), USCIS civil records, and the academic transcripts of Lithuanian students and professionals on US visas.
