Estonian is the official language of Estonia, with around 1.1 million native speakers. It's a Uralic language — related to Finnish and Hungarian, unrelated to the Slavic and Germanic languages of its Baltic neighbours. The Estonian-American community is small but well-established in New Jersey, New York, California, and the Pacific Northwest. Our Estonian translation work is mostly genealogy and dual-citizenship documents, Estonian academic transcripts for credential evaluation, and the steady flow of business contracts tied to Estonia's outsize tech sector (e-residency, Skype, Bolt, and the broader Tallinn startup scene).
