Dutch is the official language of the Netherlands and (alongside French and German) Belgium, with around 25 million native speakers. It's a Germanic language closely related to German and English but distinct in grammar and vocabulary. The Dutch-American community is concentrated in Michigan (especially Grand Rapids and Holland), western Michigan more broadly, Iowa (Pella, Orange City), and parts of New York. Our Dutch translation work is split between commercial contracts tied to the Netherlands' substantial agricultural, shipping, and tech exports, USCIS civil documents, and the academic transcripts of Dutch students at US universities.
