Ewe is a Niger-Congo language spoken by around 7 million people in southeastern Ghana, southern Togo, and parts of Benin. It's closely related to Fon. The US Ewe-speaking community is small, part of the broader Ghanaian and Togolese diaspora in the Bronx, Newark, Worcester, and Chicago. Our Ewe translation work is occasional — typically USCIS civil documents from Ghanaian or Togolese sources, plus academic transcripts and church records. Ewe is written in the Latin alphabet with additional special characters for tonal marking.
