Myene comes to us from Gabon, and there is rarely much of it. It is a small cluster of six close Bantu varieties, and a speaker names theirs without hesitation: Mpongwe, Orungu, Galwa, Adyumba, Nkomi or Enenga. The more useful question at intake is whether Myene is needed at all, since Gabon runs in French and most people who call also speak it. French first, Myene where it counts. For a working-age Gabonese applicant a French interpreter usually does the job, and we will say so rather than bill for a rarer language than the case needs.
