Mirpuri (Pahari-Pothwari Mirpuri) is a Punjabi-Pothwari variety spoken by around 4 million people in the Mirpur region of Azad Kashmir (Pakistani-administered Kashmir) and a substantial UK and US diaspora. It's often classified within Pahari-Pothwari but speakers regard it as a distinct community language. The US Mirpuri-American community is small relative to the UK community, but present in parts of New York, New Jersey, and Texas.
