Flemish is the variety of Dutch spoken in Belgium, primarily in the northern Flanders region. It's essentially the same language as Standard Dutch in writing, but with distinct vocabulary, pronunciation, and some legal terminology — particularly for Belgian civil and government documents, where Flemish conventions diverge from Dutch ones. Around 6 million people speak it. Our Flemish translation work is mostly Belgian civil documents — birth, marriage, and academic records being translated for USCIS, US universities, and credential evaluators — plus business contracts tied to Belgium's significant pharmaceutical, chemical, and diamond-trading sectors.
