Yupik is the language of the Yupik peoples of southwestern Alaska and the Russian Far East, with around 10,000 speakers across several distinct varieties — including Central Alaskan Yup'ik, Pacific Gulf Yupik, and Siberian Yupik. It's related to but distinct from Inuit (Inuktitut, Inupiaq, Kalaallisut). Our Yupik translation work is rare and typically tied to Alaska Native tribal or educational documents.
