About the Wenzhou Language
Wenzhou is a Wu Chinese variety spoken by around 5 million people in Wenzhou and surrounding parts of southeastern Zhejiang province. It's famously difficult for other Chinese speakers to understand, sometimes called "devil's language" in popular Chinese discourse.
