Slovenian is the official language of Slovenia, with around 2.5 million speakers. It's a Slavic language closely related to Croatian and Serbian but distinct in vocabulary, grammar, and (notably) its preservation of grammatical dual number — a feature most other Slavic languages have lost. The Slovenian-American community is small and concentrated, with Cleveland hosting the largest Slovenian population outside Slovenia. Our Slovenian translation work is mostly genealogy, dual-citizenship applications, and the academic and civil documents needed by the smaller but steady stream of recent Slovenian professionals on US visas.
