Shona is a Bantu language and the most-spoken indigenous language of Zimbabwe, with around 14 million speakers including in parts of Mozambique. The US Shona-speaking community is small but growing, with concentrations in the DC area, Texas, and parts of the Midwest, driven by Zimbabwean political and economic emigration since 2000. Our Shona translation work is occasional — Zimbabwean civil documents are usually in English (the country's main administrative language) and routed accordingly.
