Sanskrit is the classical language of ancient India and one of the world's oldest written languages, with literature stretching back over 3,000 years. It's the liturgical language of Hinduism and a major scholarly language for Buddhism and Jainism. Although it has around 25,000 fluent speakers today (as a second language for religious and scholarly purposes), no community uses it as a daily first language. Our Sanskrit translation work is mostly academic, religious, and cultural — Hindu temple documents, classical-text translation for US universities, and the occasional family-record translation.
