Prism Linguistics provides certified Persian document translation for USCIS and the courts, and Persian interpreters for hearings, medical appointments and immigration interviews in Tampa and across the United States, in person, by phone or by video.
Tell us the setting and where the speaker is from before you book: for Persian, as for most languages, the regional variety and the register of the room decide who should be assigned. Hospitals that receive federal funding must provide an interpreter at no cost to the patient; at USCIS the interpreter has to be neutral and precise rather than helpful. Where a court requires a certified or registered Persian interpreter, tell us the court and the case type and we confirm what that court will accept.
For an in-person assignment in Tampa we assign a Persian interpreter based in or near the city. Telephone and video interpreting can usually be arranged the same day. We serve courts, attorneys, hospitals, USCIS applicants and private individuals; we are a private agency, not a court-appointed vendor, and we say so up front.
Tampa is the seat of Hillsborough County. Felonies and larger civil suits are heard in the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit Court of Florida, which serves Hillsborough County, while misdemeanors, traffic cases and small claims stay in the county court, whose county criminal, county civil and traffic dockets run through the Clerk of Circuit Court. Removal cases from the Tampa area are heard regionally at the Orlando Immigration Court. For in-person work we assign a linguist based near Tampa; our only office is in New York.
Hillsborough County Public Schools identifies about 26,600 English language learners from 238 countries speaking 197 languages and dialects, with Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Russian and Haitian Creole the most common. Across Florida, Guatemalan farmworker communities speak Mayan languages that are mutually unintelligible with Spanish and often with each other, and Hillsborough is among the counties where most of the state's crop workers live. Those are the languages courts approach Prism for, because most providers cannot supply them.
Our only office is in New York. For in-person work in Tampa we assign a Persian interpreter who is based in or near the city, and the same Persian linguists cover the surrounding area:
Need documents translated as well? See Persian translation services in Tampa.
Most Persian documents we translate are for USCIS filings and court use: birth, marriage and divorce records, diplomas and transcripts, police clearances and affidavits. Each is delivered as a complete English translation with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy. Stamps, seals and handwritten entries are translated, not skipped, and names are spelled to match the passport with any variant on the original noted for the adjudicator.
Every certified Persian translation is a complete, word-for-word rendering with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy, prepared to meet USCIS requirements. It is done from a clear scan, so a client in Tampa gets the same translator, the same price and the same turnaround as one anywhere else in the country. Persian is the Western Iranian language known as Farsi in Iran, Dari in Afghanistan and Tajik in Tajikistan, with roughly 110 million speakers when all three are counted together. Iran and Afghanistan write it in the Perso-Arabic script; Tajikistan uses Cyrillic. The three standards share most of their grammar and formal vocabulary, so a Farsi speaker can read a Dari document, but everyday speech, pronunciation and official terminology differ enough that we assign interpreters by country. In the United States the largest Persian-speaking communities are Iranian, followed by Afghans resettled since 2021, and most translation work is Iranian shenasnameh booklets, Afghan tazkiras, degree certificates and asylum evidence.
Yes. We deliver a complete English translation with a signed Certificate of Translation Accuracy, prepared to meet USCIS requirements, with stamps, seals and handwritten entries included and names spelled to match the passport.
Where a state certifies court interpreters in Persian and the court requires one, we assign a certified interpreter; otherwise courts use a registered or qualified interpreter and we match what the court will accept. We are a private agency, not a court-appointed vendor.
