About Nyanja Language
Nyanja is a Bantu language and the national language of Malawi, also widely spoken in Zambia (where the Lusaka-area variety is called Nyanja), Mozambique, and Zimbabwe. Roughly 12 million people speak it. It's the same language as Chichewa — see our Chichewa page. Our Nyanja translation work is occasional and typically tied to Malawian civil documents, academic transcripts, and church records.
