Montenegrin is the official language of Montenegro, with around 250,000 native speakers identifying their language as Montenegrin (others identify the same language as Serbian, Croatian, or Bosnian — all mutually intelligible standards of what was formerly Serbo-Croatian). Montenegrin uses both Latin and Cyrillic scripts officially. The US Montenegrin-speaking community is small, often co-located with Serbian-American and Bosnian-American communities. Our Montenegrin translation work is occasional and typically tied to USCIS civil documents and dual-citizenship applications.
