Luganda is the language of the Baganda — Uganda's largest ethnic group — and the most widely spoken indigenous language in Uganda, with around 5 million native speakers and several million more as a second language. English is Uganda's official language, so most Ugandan civil documents that reach us are in English. Our Luganda translation work is occasional and typically tied to USCIS family-reunification paperwork, church records, and the cultural and community-association documents tied to the Ugandan diaspora — concentrated in Massachusetts, Texas, and the DC area.
