Kazakh is the official language of Kazakhstan, with around 13 million native speakers. It's a Turkic language, related to Uzbek, Kyrgyz, and Turkish. Kazakhstan is in the middle of transitioning from Cyrillic to Latin script — a process announced in 2017 and still rolling out — so source documents may be in either alphabet depending on issue date. Our US-based Kazakh translation work is small but growing, driven by Kazakhstan's expanding US business presence (oil and gas, agriculture) and the educational migration of Kazakh students to US universities.
