French Canadian (Quebec French, joual) is the variety of French spoken in Quebec and across French-speaking Canada, with around 7 million native speakers. It differs from European French in vocabulary, pronunciation, and several legal and civil-document conventions — particularly important when translating Quebec civil records, court documents, or commercial contracts for US institutions, which expect Quebec-specific terminology to be handled correctly. Our French Canadian translation work is mostly cross-border USCIS family-reunification paperwork, Quebec civil records, and US-Canadian commercial agreements.
