Two things trip Farsi translations. Dates are in the Iranian solar calendar, so 1370 has to become 1991 and the conversion has to be exact, because a birth date that is off by one day against the passport is an identity discrepancy. And a Farsi name has no single spelling: Mohammad, Mohammed and Muhammad are the same man. We spell to the passport and note the variant on the original. Older handwritten shenasnameh pages, and stamps from offices renamed since 1979, are reproduced as printed with a translator's note where the history needs it.
