Bangla is another name for Bengali — the official language of Bangladesh and the Indian state of West Bengal, and the seventh most-spoken language in the world with around 230 million speakers. In the United States the Bangla-speaking community is concentrated in New York City — particularly the Bronx, Queens, and Brooklyn — plus Hamtramck (Michigan), parts of New Jersey, and Texas. Most of our Bangla translation work is USCIS-related: birth certificates, Bangladeshi national ID (NID) papers, marriage records, and academic transcripts being evaluated for US schools and employers.
